In his professional career, Waterman played for top clubs in Trinidad and Tobago, including ECM Motown, where he captained the team to FA Cup glory in 1992 and earned the TTFA Most Goals Award the same year. His consistent performance and leadership on the field made him a standout player in the Trinidad National Super League and beyond.
A Commitment to Coaching Excellence
After retiring from professional play, Waterman transitioned to coaching, where he has spent over 15 years developing youth players and fostering their growth on and off the field. His coaching journey began with youth teams in Maryland, leading clubs like Perry Hall White Marsh Soccer and Kingsville Soccer Club to multiple championships. He is particularly passionate about mentoring young athletes, helping them secure scholarships and achieve their dreams of playing at the collegiate level.
Waterman’s coaching philosophy centers on individual player development, tactical adaptability, and fostering a positive team environment. His expertise has been instrumental in guiding players to reach their full potential, earning recognition from both athletes and their families.
A Unique Partnership
Joining forces with his daughter Christa, Marlon Waterman represents a powerful blend of experience and innovation.
